Istria Film Commission

The Istria Film Commission (IFC) was established in 2015. Since than acts as a department within IKA – the Istrian Cultural Agency, with the aim of promoting Istria as an attractive film destination. The primary mission of the IFC is to define models of collaboration and strengthen relationships with the public authorities, private and business entities to help and support to audiovisual productions. 

In it’s work the IFC will provide the following services:

• Finding film locations
• Communication with public, authorities, private and business entities in Region of Istria and at the national level
• Mediation in obtaining approvals for the rental of public areas and road closures.
• Access to the database
• Education for the needs of audiovisual production and more

We are committed to dedicating individual attention to each client considering various requirements, the complexity, and the specificity of the needs of audiovisual productions. 

Since 2024 IKA and IFC has been a partner in the Interreg project REEL – a Cinematic Journey through Italy and Croatia.
